What beer is called Numbers in the UK?

Watching the Detectorists and a round of drinks was brought to the table.
The server said, Cider, Numbers, Numbers handing the two beers to the guys and an Aperol Spritz for the good wife.

I did a little digging and came up with this.
"I believe it means a pint of Kronenbourg 1664 (the ‘numbers’ referring to the 1664’.)"
Now thats from the same question asked on Reddit some years ago.😷

Jimmy Hill was a sports commentator in the U.K. who had a huge chin and would basically go on and on in describing stuff, boring the pants off the viewers. As a kid, I would stroke my chin and say “Jimmy Hill” or “Itchy Chin” usually to describe someone waffling-on, or as a motion to indicate I didn’t believe what they said.

Jimmy Waffle On was a regional variation.
