I have 3 spotty bananas that need to be muffined. Too warm to use the oven..or maybe not.

@CrazyMusicLover I have air conditioning, it raises the bill but oh well. We have to eat and bakery items are expensive compared to homemade so I guess it all evens out.
I used to live in an all-bills paid apartment complex and I would sometimes bake banana bread at night. Went to a yard sale and bought 6 really nice bread pans (looked like new) and would buy bananas that were marked down and make banana bread. Freeze some and take some to work to share. I did that for a few weeks one summer.

@cherokeepatti We don't but the real problem is that the house isn't insulated. Properly insulated houses typically don't need AC in our climate. Our neighbours got AC first and then insulated the roof and walls and realized they didn't even need to turn the AC on very often last year. They even started going outside to warm up. 😅

@CrazyMusicLover I have heard of some people here having a cookstove outside on their covered porch or deck that they use to bake and can veggies in the summer to keep their houses from getting overheated. My ex’s mother ended up doing that with a propane stove.
