iamonfire696 sure, make the old guy really embarrass himself 🤣 I guess I set myself up, but it was eons ago when I wanted to have a couple of single young soldiers (were were overseas) over to my place for Thanksgiving dinner. A team building thing (I was their platoon sergeant)... so anyway, I spent the week prior to the dinner making pies and all sorts of stuff in the evenings (important to know I was single and this was my first shot at doing a whole Thanksgiving thing) and got up early T-day to finish getting stuff ready only to realize I had not gotten the turkey out to defrost. So I panicked and pulled it out, filled the bathtub with water and put the turkey still sealed up in the tub to try to get it defrosted in time. Long story short, ole sarge took his soldiers out to a Gasthaus and bought Paprika Schnitzel dinners and several rounds of German beer! We had loads of fun, but I was never allowed to forget about the turkey debacle 🤣 Even the damn cooks in the Battalion Mess Hall give me grief over it.
