My oven is old.

It doesn't cook batter through evenly. To cook cake or any batter (cake size like brownies) through the outside gets over cooked. I've been meaning to make cupcakes. It does cookies okay. I just have to cook them less and on a lower degree. I make corn bread muffins and that comes okay.

I wonder how a rum cake would come out. It has the hole in the middle. I wonder if that would actually work.
