Some of the desserts I made for today's celebration 🥧🍩
That's quince pie. The two brown desserts have many names, tomina, kafouch, rfiss.. They are ancient mixture of different roasted flours coupled with cooked dates. They used to be food that is dried then used by soldiers because it is full of nutrients and energy. Nowadays it is made in special occasions.
The roses cookies and the fan cookies are inspired from chinese cuisine.
These are called Kanidlat and are modern recipe from Algiers
And this is halva which I stored and prepared Wednesday.
