No politics or religion at the bar!

And if you’ve made either your identity, kindly see yourself out. This isn’t the place for you.

It's not that I've made politics my identity. It's that many people consider my identity to be political.
This is why "no politics here" isn't a thing.
Ducky · 31-35, F
@BohoBabe That doesn’t make sense either 🤦‍♀
BohoBabe · M
@Ducky I'm a bi femboy. According to the Right, my existence is a political issue. 🤷🏻‍♂
Ducky · 31-35, F
@BohoBabe So because the right says so, it is so? Is that what you’re telling me?
BohoBabe · M
@Ducky No, I'm saying it's a political issue. It shouldn't be, but if enough people see something as political, then it becomes a political issue.

I also don't think being trans should be a political issue. But for most of the Right, a trans influencer doing a beer commercial was so political that the company had to be boycotted.

@BohoBabe Short of you experiencing direct attacks from those who oppose your lifestyle, it’s only as much an issue in your life as you allow it to be. Even if you are directly affected, there’s ways around that too. It can ultimately only affect your existence as much as you allow it.

You might not comprehend any of this and that’s okay. This is purely for the record.

@Ducky I didn't say I experienced direct attacks. I'm lucky enough to have grown up in pretty pro-queer areas.
What I'm saying is that there is no such thing as a "no politics" space. That's not how life works.
Ducky · 31-35, F
@BohoBabe Ditto this:
It can ultimately only affect your existence as much as you allow it.
Have a fun life.
