First time trying a new bar and someone bought me a drink 😅

It was an older gent. Elderly, with a big, bushy beard, lol. But he was nice and engaging in small talk with me, which I reciprocated. He must be a regular there because the staff and a few of the patrons knew him by name. Anyway, after chatting with him off and on for a bit, he was getting up to leave just as the bartender was handing me a refill of my drink and he told the bartender “Put that on my tab too.” He’s all saying “Why not? You’re cute and you’re nice,” then started joking how it’s usually one or the other when it comes to women, lol. I thanked him, shook his hand and wished him a good day as he left. That was awful nice of him. Not all the time, I’m sure, when a woman gets a drink bought for her at a bar she’s trying for the first time as a genuine kind gesture. 😊
