A Pub or a Night-Club according to what they are, but the former being specifically a business licensed to sell acholic beverages for consumption on the premises; while the night-club might sell only soft drinks.
The night-club's main theme is dancing. That is secondary or non-existent in a pub, at least in the bar-rooms; though many pubs host live music, and some have function-rooms in which the main activities include dancing (usually in private events like wedding-receptions).
The Bar is the serving-counter within either establishment, or sometimes part of the name of a room with such a counter (e.g., the "lounge bar").
