Those who have drunk much alcohol, is it normal for it to cause immediate soreness around the eyes?

No, I've been drinking for many years (often heavily)....the only effect on my eyes has been blurred vision.

That doesn't happen to me, no.

Nope, you should probably get it checked. I doubt it's anything serious though. (=

A few years ago a friend of mine went temporarily blind from alcohol poisoning after too many beers.

It lasted a couple of days, if I remember correctly.

Don't know if that's relevant or not tho, but figured it could be worth mentioning.
