Yes. That's why I'm an alcoholic today.
No. I was a goody-two-shoes and too scared to get in trouble.
It was real. But somebody else.

No.

I would not dream of using a false one anyway.

This question is the forum about alcohol so I assume refers to proving age for buying alcohol. I was never asked to do that even in my late-teens!

.......
I can though, supply two odd anecdotes about proving age.

The fisrt about me, though not alcohol, by a shop-assistant not quite understanding the company's policy.

The lass behind the till in a 'Spar' shop paused at a spray-can of deodorant in my basket of goods, and asked if I was over-21 (or similar). I laughed and replied, "Actually I am about fifty but I do thank you for your compliment!" The girl looked rather embarassed but managed a smile and scanned it through.

The second involved more than beer, and a friend, not me.

He and a companion were attending an outdoor-pursuits event in a fairly rural part of America. A local attendee invited them to his family home, where his father showed the guests his private arsenal and let them have a go on his private shooting-range.

Next day, my pal said, he went to the local shop to replace the ammunition and buy some bottles of beer. Only... he had left his passport back at the hosts' home, and the shop-assistant could not understand his slightly camouflaged date-of-birth forming the identity-number on his UK driving-licence, that he did have with him.

So there he was, not only a stranger in the area but a foreigner in the USA, unaccompanied in the shop, able to buy rifle rounds but not a couple of beers!
