Bijoux, if you are looking for a really nice gift, I suggest a bottle of single malt. For somewhere around $50-$80 you can get a very good bottle of Glenmorangie. (Rhymes with “orangey”). Look for one that has either a “port finish” or a “Sherry finish”. I guarantee this will be appreciated!

@Harmonium1923 I don't drink, but from friends I understand there is a big division between "peated" and "unpeated" whiskeys. Peated whiskey has a more smokey flavor, which some prefer and others don't.

@ElwoodBlues That’s correct. Peated whisky is wonderful but I wouldn’t give it as a gift without knowing the person liked it because it is very strong and distinctive.
