How many of you SW women consider yourselves a "drinker", meaning alcoholic beverages.

I have noticed, in my life, very few of the women are/have been drinkers. When I say "drinkers", I mean getting intoxicated on a regular basis or drinking almost daily. Once every couple months or a couple times a year doesn't count. All my girlfriends rarely, if ever, drank and my wife might have a drink a couple times a year. I honestly know more women that don't drink than do, and I think that's interesting. This question was inspired by some answers to another SW question. Yes, I do like to get intoxicated every couple weeks and do have a few drinks a couple times a week.

I don't drink any more. Used to when I was married to the ex.

@4meAndyou would you have considered yourself a heavy drinker?
4meAndyou · F
@WizardofOz I didn't drink every day. I was a weekend drinker, and married into a family of alcoholic people, who did drink heavily, almost all the time. When we got together for family events, I drank heavily. Usually an entire bottle of Blue Nun.

@4meAndyou I'm pretty much a weekend warrior myself now. My younger years, I was getting drunk, two or three times a week. Out of curiosity, do you miss it?
4meAndyou · F
@WizardofOz NO! I don't miss it one bit. It's a huge expense, it interfered with my sleep patterns, and usually I went back to work on Monday with a horrible headache.

@4meAndyou Good for you! I also know exactly what you mean about hangovers. I mostly drink at home, which keeps the expense down but when I was going out, the amount of money I spent was RIDICULOUS! And I'm sure I lost a lot of money by leaving it on the bar or dropping it on the floor. There was no way I could have spent the amount of money I was just from drinking. It really is depressing looking back at all the money I pissed away.
