If you are/were a drinker, what drinks did you not like but still drank/drink?

@DragonFruit I have a funny story about Gin.
When I was working on a farm in Esperance Western Australia, my boss would bring bottles of water for us to drink out on the paddocks.
She gave me a bottle and I went off mending fences. Very hot day - above 100 - I drank my water and when I went back to my boss I told her there was something wrong with the water as it has a strange taste.
She had a sniff of the bottle and said - "Oh, I am so sorry, I gave you a bottle of Gin."
I drank a whole bottle of Gin straight, with no effects as I was sweating continually in the heat.

Revolting, but I still drank when there was nowt else to be had.

@SW-User Deadly sweet. Some alcoholic drinks should never be produced.
I remember way back when, there was a drink called Blackberry Nip. A fortified Port.
Like drinking cordial but about 18% alcohol.
No wonder I developed Cirrhosis by age 30. 🤣

@Gusman it made me ill but at the time there was nothing else.

@meggie I know what it is like when ones needs/wants a drink. Drink what is available and suffer the consequences later.🥺

@V00doo I did not like Sambuca. Licorice flavour if I remember.
