most of the places I eat out offers veteran discounts

Went out to eat last night with a friend. She thinks it is wrong that I always hand them my discount card.the place we went to offers veterans 50 percent off their meal. Why would I not take advantage of that deal... I earned it

It's basically a benifit or bonus this establishment gives to those having served their country. That's no different than benifits and bonuses one gets from a job.
