when did raisins become unhealhy?

and when did it become a teachers place to send notes home to parents because they send so called unacceptable food in their kids lunches?
That's nuts. I think they'd do much better to focus on bullies and checking pockets for hand guns. 🙄

@LadyGrace: well public schools in my area uses it too but not often enough from what i can tell
Southernlady32 · 41-45, F
@LadyGrace: fat and hyperness i think is the schools fault you cant expect elemantary school kids to sit in desks 8 hours a day. thats something i like abot my kids school they have 3 recesses a day for elemantary. 2 for middle and high school. and especially in k-2nd grade they do more activity type learning than act book work.
@Southernlady32: Sounds like a great school. First impressions of school for children are so very important. I believe it sets the stage for how they respond and learn, from then on.
Send them back this little note. 🤣

tallpowerhouseblonde · 36-40, F
@LadyGrace: very very nicely done.
Southernlady32 · 41-45, F
@LadyGrace: if i was the mom id found every junk food i had in my kitchen and pack it the next day in my kids lunch with a note that might not be very lady like
@Southernlady32: I was thinking the same about sending back junk food. lol
NCCindy · 36-40, F
I'm told it's because they're effectively very concentrated calories !!!

The PC Police doesn't want your kids to be fat.

@tallpowerhouseblonde: Naw, they were discussing McRaises! 🤑

@alkanrider: ive considered it.
elVato · 46-50, M
Raisins are fine. It's the asshole social-engineers pretending to be teachers and school counselors that are unhealthy as fuck.
Southernlady32 · 41-45, F
@elVato: hence why my kids dont go to public school.
elVato · 46-50, M
@Southernlady32: 😑 Thank you for keeping at least some of the next generation out of the PC meat grinder.
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
I would be writing them back and asking if they are paying for the food...
Raisins are healthy.

Take it up with administration!
tallpowerhouseblonde · 36-40, F
@Southernlady32: and also post on fb
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
We do not have a board of elders. We have administration. Principals and if the principal does nothing it would go to the board of education.

Posting on facebook would be the last thing i thought about. Honestly i dont need facebook to demand real action be taken in my childs school.
Southernlady32 · 41-45, F
@JaggedLittlePill: well sometimes it works had a friend whose daughter had severe asthma and the school had one of 2 options: send her to another class during high pollin days or change her clothes after recess. instead they told her best thing for her to do was keep her home on high pollin days. she posted it on fb inclding a picture of the note the school sent home to her and with a few calls to the school by some of us and a call to the board of education by her. they suddenly found a way to accomdate her
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Since when did she become the food police???? there are worse things served in school lunches here.

Unless your child is bringing crack to school it really isn't her place to say Anyting about what they eat
katielass · F
Who the fuck do these morons think they are to tell a parent what to feed their kid. Seems to me they ought to be focusing on their job, which is teaching these kids something, if they are able to. Half the teachers these days can't pass a basic test but they cant be fired.
Southernlady32 · 41-45, F
@katielass: yes some states have taken out the teaching test they required for certification because its descrimination against blacks and hispanics
katielass · F
@Southernlady32: Well, it proves that for all the bloviating about how much they "care" about the kids, they really don't care at all. But half of us already knew that.
Food police are everywhere. Raisins are healthy.
VeronicaPrincess · 61-69
There's nothing wrong with raisins. 😊

firefall · 61-69, M
wow, really? I mean, I avoid raisins because fructose, sugars arent a great idea for a diabetic. But as a healthy snack for a growing child, I would have said they are at least as good as any other, and better than most.
mercedes810 · 31-35, F
When they started to talk about how bad grapes are, because the shape and plentiness of fruit on one plant, makes them "more dangerous" than other fruits that are sprayed during farming.
That would make me mad as hell.
Not that it really matters, but I'm curious if they were plain or coated in chocolate or yogurt?
Southernlady32 · 41-45, F
@ProdigalSummer: it wasnt me personally my kids school wouldnt dare but from my understanding it was a box of just plain raisins. i saw it on our local news fb page
That's bananas.
SW-User
Yea that's a bit crazy....nothing wrong with raisins. Send the kid with pork rinds and a soda along with a return note that says "Better?".
did you just put in raisins and nothing else?
Southernlady32 · 41-45, F
@AliceinWonderland: no my kids school would never dare. this is something i seen on fb.
