Sounds like something I would love and appreciate,

you certainly would , potatoes , onions, cabbage fried in a pan until golden brown, a meal fit for a king ..........(or queen) :) x
@andex: I love all that. I dont have any potatoes but I have cabbage and onions I will make that for dinner. This sounds like a dish from the South. :-)

@SBelle: it is born out of need , a simple dish of left overs that could not be wasted as food was scarce during war time, but mums and wives had a knack of turning the unappealing into the very tasty and appealing xx I myself make extra dinner , just to make this the day after , mmmmmmmm x
@andex: My grandmother was a cook for hire and my mother picked up and carried on her ways of cooking. She cooked these kinds of dishes. I love traditional cooking. I say keep up these meals and pass it on to keep it alive for more generations.

I do , always, I very rarely throw food away, there are too many starving people in the world to be so frivolous as to waste what we are so fortunate enough to take for granted xx
