@Jewel: it is popular in county fairs in some states here in the US, from what I understand.

Wikipedia says it has a buttery French toast flavor.

@NigelDoes: I'm in NY and haven't seen it in person but I saw a show that mentioned it being sold at a Texas state Fair.
