Depends on the food. 😅 Meat - hard no. Dairy - depends on how it looks/smells/tastes. Spices - one year after is typically still completely okay.

If it's canned it probably is. Green beans or similar things you just rinse and the metalic flavor from the can goes with the water down the drain. Other things like chicken soup its a toss up. The only problem is metal leaching into the contents as longcas the can is still sealed.
