I'm very interested in trying the Mediterranean diet, ever since my sister's doctor recommended it to her, but I'd like to know what are your go-to Mediterranean dishes, restaurants, desserts etc.

hummus and fresh bread.. eastern humus is very different than the stale prepackaged stuff here tho

I love olive oil brushed on Italian bread with sauce and mozzarella for a delicious pizza toast. Chicken with pesto sauce and fresh pasta is another great dish. And seafood is a big staple for Mediterranean cuisine!
