I once went into a food place where there was bullet holes in the door.

The meal was served to go and slid through a hole. They honestly made some of the best sandwiches I've ever had. 10/10 would go again but don't remember where it was. I just remember it was in the hood.

The sandwich was huge and cheap too, it was about 10 years ago so I wouldn't remember but it was so delicious. Wish I could remember to see if it was still there 🤪

Damn sounds like I want to go there. For the place has character. I used to go to a sandwich place, that had saw dust on the floor. I know it still doesn't .

@bhatjc Yeah it was super good, it did have a restaurant name on the outside so I know it was an actual food place. The sandwich was legit decent though, good portion of food. It didn't have a sit down area in it, I just remember thinking it was weird that there was bulletproof glass lol.

In the U.S?.. Was it a crime area? I grew up in Boston near a crime section and this sub shop near me had the best ever subs, Chicken Parm. Omg , never found one better!!

@Baybreeze Yeah so you get what I mean lol. There's a lot of food services in the hood that were amazing like pizza places and the like. I like to think that is because corporate don't set up in those places so you have a lot of local owned business. Pizza was good too, though there were no bullet holes in those.

@TheHammer Yeah it was in a higher crime area for sure and no shooting range lol. They had bulletproof glass and everything, no sit down area. They might have gotten robbed once in all honesty who knows what happened.

But I'm telling you the food was amazing lol.

When I was a teenager a guy I was working for sent me over to a bar to pick up a bucket of chicken. I walked in and literally the whole place stopped and stared at me. Everything came to a standstill. Me being ridiculously naive I just walked up to the woman at the bar and said "Hi I'm here to pick up a bucket of chicken".

Like Spongebob walking into the worst bar in town.

The woman walked me to the door and said "Get outta here, go around back and I'll meet you there."

She gave me the chicken in secret like I was scoring a cocaine deal or something.
The chicken was awesome

@robingoodfellow Omg I'm dying lol. I mean I'm sure it wasn't funny at the moment but extremely awkward so it likely wasn't funny then 😅

However getting the chicken from the back of the bar has me cackling, like drugs.

I'm happy it was good tho, that's why I dislike the corporate food atmosphere because I think local businesses should be thriving.
