The brewery that produced the best beer in the world is closing down.

Tasmanian brewery - Boags - will bottle its last brew in November this year.
Founded in 1881, at Launceston, it utilised the pristine water of the North Esk River, it was Tasmania's premium beer for the whole of its 145 years history.
Southern Tasmanian brewery - Cascades - was a very poor second choice. (my opinion)
I was bought up on Boags, look how I turned out. 🙂

@ShenaniganFoodie Belgian slops. Boags is best. Brewed in Tasmania for 145 years.

The world is changing.

@InterdimensionalSideEye A combination of reduced beer consumption, higher costs plus shipping costs of $1.5 million yearly. (Tasmania being a small island)
@Gusman I understand. It’s very sad when companies like these close to me. So much history, gone.
