Soup for dinner?

Today is prep day... my day to prepare food for the coming week. I like soups... a lot, and started with a big pot of homemade chicken noodle.

First the veggies

Then the spices

Then the chicken

Then the chicken broth

Then after bringing it all to a boil, the noodles (broken up spaghetti) and let it simmer for 25 minutes.

Now it's either curry lentil soup with veggies or... haven't decided yet.

looks very yum

@Notsimilarreally it is, but then again, I'd of course say that😁
You need egg noodles for that creation. 😁

@OlderSometimesWiser you are right, but I had spaghetti pasta sitting in the cabinet and no egg noodles.
@Ontheroad That’s okay, my grandmother would have had a plump kosher chicken simmering in that pot all day but plump kosher chickens don’t like sitting in cabinets.

Looks delicious whatever you decide to call it.

@Ontheroad I loved your veggie and meat portions too!

@WillaKissing Often I double the veggie amounts and just as often I through in collard greens, kale or some other greens. Then I adjust the meant portions to get about 2-3oz per serving, which then means I have to adjust upwards the amount of broth.

I use recipes for ideas and the measurements for any ingredient as suggestions.

@Ontheroad I do the same on Measurements.
