What foods do you not eat, never tried, or other reasons?

I’m lactose intolerant so I don’t eat much dairy. I get my vitamins and calcium in other foods. I’m not an eater of eggs, nor do I eat pork products and I avoid lamb and seafood.🦞

I’m not averse to eating red meat, 🥩 a beefsteak is very nice and gives you a healthy enzyme that your body needs. Chicken and fish are staples, but I avoid slimy foods like pastas. Just makes me gag thinking about slimy pasta!

I like rice dishes like a fricassee (is that how you spell it?) and I don’t mind Hungarian style food with fresh paprika as a base for flavour. Borscht is an acquired taste for many. Pickles are also good but not too many as they can upset your stomach sometimes.

My dinner today will likely be some kind of breaded chicken 🐓 or something, with a salad or a baked potato.

@tindrummer why narrow it to brain, most parasites are found in muscles.

@tindrummer do you have any idea how rare that is?

@samueltyler2 What's your point? If you want to eat brains feel free.
350 to 500 new cases per year in the US

@tindrummer it was your point. honestly, i really had no idea it was even that common. there was an outbreak of bovine spongiform encephalitis in Europe a few years ago, linked to "mad cow disease." Thanks for enticing me to review the subject. The prevalence of trichinosis used to very high, in some 1945 studies as many as 50% of the US population was thought to be contaminated, mostly from eating contaminated pork, muscle, aka meat.

@samueltyler2 Yeah, pork was infamous for that.

I took a class on Human Variability that exposed me to the eating brains danger.

@tindrummer in some aboriginal society eating the dead parent was a sacred ritual, and led to the disease. The disease is now really called prion disease, and the cause is usually unknown.
