For me it would be an alligator. Yes, I had alligator meat before. Have you. It was good. It tasted like pork chops. I had mines fried with some hush puppies. Tell me your story. What is the strangest animal you have ever eaten or had. Best answer wins.

@Thinkerbell That was a big thing in Europe back in the 80s with ostrich farms all over the place. It was very healthy and tasty and a lot cheaper than steak from cattle. I was sorry when it fell out of favour. Similarly with kangaroo meat: that is no longer in fashion in the UK, but then importing it is expensive and I wouldn't buy it now on ecological grounds.
