I had the worst soup experience the other day

I was eating some minestrone and it had this really none-chewable hard-ish thing in it.
I took it out my mouth and that process always makes me wanna throw.
I mean I suspect it was a stalk or something but it was still disgusting and now I don't trust the rest of the can.

I agree that suddenly encountering something of a very different texture from what you expect can be really disconcerting. I'd be suspicious of the can as well: something may have wrong in the processing, or it may be just a rogue stalk as you say. Better to be on the safe side.
