There is a huge uproar on Tik Tok about this current issue today. States are now putting limitations on what you can purchase with EBT cards. No more chips and soda and sweets can be bought anymore through the SNAP program. And that you can only buy fruits, vegetables, bread, dairy and meats. Hmmmmm. Do you believe that this is fair ? Do you believe the government should be telling US what to eat. The floor is yours SW. Best answer wins.☺🍊

@Zonuss I think it's because security and freedom are two different things it takes different ways to manage. If you want more security you are going to have to give up some freedoms. If you want more freedom, it means giving up some security. You're not safe when you're free cos anything can happen. Likewise more security means you have to trust the govt not to overstep your rights and we've seen where that goes.
Freedom sounds good in theory until you realize it's a brutal world out there and people want the feeling of safety so they start voting against their own self interests.
There's a way to maintain both but America says policies are either liberal or conservative and can never be met both ways. Like pro lifers are never going to admit their policies are killing women and babies so instead of just not liking it but supporting choice because it's the most logical thing to do, we now have insidious laws against women.
That was just an example. Through policy changes we could have both but people go with emotions, not logical.
