Do u believe people on food stamps should buy junk food ๐
There is a huge uproar on Tik Tok about this current issue today. States are now putting limitations on what you can purchase with EBT cards. No more chips and soda and sweets can be bought anymore through the SNAP program. And that you can only buy fruits, vegetables, bread, dairy and meats. Hmmmmm. Do you believe that this is fair ? Do you believe the government should be telling US what to eat. The floor is yours SW. Best answer wins.โบ๐

It is free support .. some strings attached to help ensure better overall use of the funding is fine from my perspective. The sense of entitlement to want to complain and expect to continue to use it on junk instead of core nutrition with increases in costs, is a big part of the problem in our society. I'm tired of the level of taxes I pay .. and seeing it go to so many who manage to have tatoos and money for alcohol and drugs .. because of what is taken from my earnings.. is a problem for me.
@Zonuss Like who? Unemployment is supposed to be a safety net until back to work for those able .. not life long income. The latter is more what it has become and an expectation of it being the same life as people who manage to fund their own lives. Benefits are still there, just limited. Deal with it or fund your other choices yourself.
There are hundreds of newly opened jobs in GA that will start posting next week and more around the country as illegals are continuing to be removed.
@BrandNewMan False. There are areas in this country the USA that has been decimated and overlooked by big corporations and manufacturing for years. You have thousands of people in rural. Kentucky and Ohio who do not live in a booming region or area at all. Everybody doesn't Iive in the South. If you saw it then you would know. But it's not fair to do this to taxpayers when they have earned their rights to live in this country. It is wrong. Period. Stop punishing people for doing right. And no not everyone can afford to move either. So they do the best with what they have.
@BrandNewMan Great points here. Those items are luxuries, not necessities. Having them eat healthy also reduces the health care bills they will incur, that taxpayers will most likely be on the hook for as well.
@Shawnspencer My W is a teacher. A lot of kids on aid come to school not having had meals outside of school because so much gets spent on snacks and junk that its not keeping them adequately nourished. This drives my perspective on this issue.
@BrandNewMan False. You have thousands of people in those regions on welfare. Even in the South. I know some of them myself. Nobody believes you. But anyway my point stands. We have a capitalist nation that is slowly becoming a socialist nation. And the wealth gap is becoming larger by the day. Blame your corrupt politicians for this mess. โบ
@BrandNewMan False. You cannot negate or legislate or expect for others to make the same choices you made in life. Reality does not work that way. There is severe poverty around the nation in certain areas that have been purposely overlooked and neglected for decades by the government. They are the ones responsible for that.
@BrandNewMan And again you are not following reality. You're going by delusions. Your lifestyle is not someone else's lifestyle. Your mindset.is not someone else's mindset. You argument is illogical and unrealistic. โบ
