Nearly 12 months without any alcoholic drinks

i dont for a minute regret choosing to give up alcoholic drinks. Saves shedloads of money too.

Some years ago a member of my family had a run in with the bottle, got help and got themselves out . At the time, his rehab offered family members classes , almost group therapy on both what we could do to help, but also on what we couldnt do. And what we needed to do to survive ourselves. I have always been pretty ambivalent about alcohol, although I had a few nice red wines stashed for special occasions. But right then I just stopped drinking..Not just around them. totally. An act of support..😷
