Which of these two liquors make a better mix with Ginger Ale? Bourbon or Irish Whiskey?

@ArtieKat I like Crown Royal too. Unfortunately, my wife seems to be restricting my hard alcohol intake recently :P

Bourbon, I think the slight peat taste in some irish whiskeys would not be good . However, Canadian rye whiskey is the best of course.
