Can I feel sick with just eating a sandwich?

Did my first day at shop today ( just 3 hours). Had a sandwich on the way and thankfully I was okay till on the way home I felt really sick and upset stomach.
My mums got me to go to bed for a lie down which I am doing for a little while and she gave me water to drink so feeling slightly better.

@ArtieKat Yes thanks, I'm guessing it's the sandwich so at least it wasn't a whole meal, I can't sleep but at least I'm cosy for now
