peach fried pie. Just had one.
@exexec
One of my earliest memories is of home made deep fried cherry turnovers that a neighbor made and sold for 5 cents.
It was the last of the US micro- economy. The mom made the pies and her 10 year old son walked down the street with a paper bag full of the hot pies, with a big "5 cents" written in pencil.
The only thing we knew about the neighbor is that they lived somewhere down the street and her pies were so so good. Apparently not so far because the pies were piping hot when the kid would come by our house.
