Most of the gas station foods around are breaded and deep-fried or burritos, that type of thing. Nothing for me and it’s not healthy food even if I could eat gluten-foods. One gas station that I went to for gas has a taco stand inside of the station. Looked clean enough but I passed it up, have a mistrust of foods in gas stations
Reminds me of a sign I saw during a drive through the Canadian mid-west which said "Fresh-caught ocean fish next exit", which was odd to think about considering I was 2000 miles away from the nearest ocean!
The part about gas station sandwiches I always wondered about, was that if it was the same guy who pumped my gas and cleaned my windshield who also made the sandwiches after I pulled out of there?
Specially on Arizona backroads that say "Next gas station/rest stop 250 miles", yes, the comedy movie trope is real, I experienced it in december 2005, long story.
