Galveston deli

This is a deli we tried last week in downtown Galveston. I liked the food and it’s very reasonably priced

"resonably priced", aka gouging during the plandemic. The founding fathers would be appalled

@NativePortlander1970 for me it’s reasonably priced considering it’s located downtown and they’re competing with other places for business. I’m not a financial expert but this is my opinion
@SJones48 True commercial competition is to keep prices lower than their rivals, not to see who can gouge the most. Plus, egg salad isn't vegetarian as eggs are from poultry, meat.

@NativePortlander1970 Many vegetarians do eat eggs, just so you know. You may note that the sandwich did not have (Vegan) in the description.
@Piper Would that make them fake eggs then?
Piper · 61-69, F
@NativePortlander1970 No, I doubt if the deli uses "fake" eggs.
@Piper Eggs are not vegan
Piper · 61-69, F
@NativePortlander1970 That is true. Perhaps you failed to actually read the original reply you responded to.
@Piper Vegans are nothing more than militant vegetarians, split hairs much?
Piper · 61-69, F
@NativePortlander1970 Many vegetarians do eat indeed eggs, preferably from sources that are not factory farming. Hens do of course lay eggs...but an egg is not "poultry".
@Piper It's still an animal product
Piper · 61-69, F
@NativePortlander1970 Yes. That would be why the menu does not have "(Vegan)" next to that particular sandwich.
