We call it the holy trinity of processed food. Sugar-salt-fat. Without one, two or all three it would be so bland that no one would buy it. For foods that naturally lack all three it gets added in processing. Foods labeled “low fat” usually mean high sugar or high salt. Foods labeled “Low sodium” (salt) means high fat or high sugar.
