Last meal until the day after thanksgiving

I don't know if anything will be open tomorrow after I get off of work at 6, so this is likely the last proper meal I'll have till the day after thanksgiving. I have beef sticks, cheese, rice and ramen, so I won't starve, just deeply annoyed with this time of the year when everything shuts down at thanksgiving, christmas, new years eve and new years day. I don't think the cafeteria will be open tomorrow here.

I guess I can track down a Sheetz gas station, but most of the ones I've been to don't have a active kitchen anymore, they just have hit lamped earmed foods from some other sheetz. I gotta figure out which one is the one making fresh food and tables to sit down at. If I even bother.

When I am not cooking Thanksgiving dinner myself...(and I didn't for two years because my wrists were badly injured and I couldn't lift a turkey out of the oven), I used to buy Market Basket frozen turkey dinners and kept them in my freezer till the "day".

There ARE restaurants everywhere open on Thanksgiving day, but you need a reservation. Just a thought for next year!

Sorry. I just read that you live in your van. I didn't mean to be insensitive.
@4meAndyou I found a store open this morning so I got some chewy cookies and cornbread. And my csfeteria was shockingly open today so I just got some brisket:

Usually I'm told it is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas, don't understand why it is open but I will take it.

@Dignaga AWESOME!!! If you can keep a cooler inside your van, then you can buy subs or other ready to eat foods the day before big holidays, and keep them in the cooler in your van!
@4meAndyou I might do that during the summer- put ice in a styofoam one with two holrs in it and a fan pushing hot air in, cooling it down, pushing cold air out, but I'm afraid the moisture will cause mold to grow. I'll eventually upgrade to a windowless cargo van, I'm in a no privacy minivan right now.

@Dignaga I've seen those. They are like home made air conditioners. Washing the inside of a regular cooler, ie: thermos brand, with a mild bleach and water solution, once a week, prevents mold.
@4meAndyou I'm talking about mold growing under the carpet of the minivan.

@Dignaga Oh my gosh. THAT is terrible! I've combatted mold on the studs in my basement after the basement flooded. We had to throw away the carpet, though...and then bought a professional mold remover for the studs. It hadn't started yet...but I didn't want it to start.
