Boston Beans

I can't eat beans for unknown reasons. Just as a little kid it triggered not to eat beans. My step father was quite abusive and I recall one Thankgiving he flipped out I wasn't eating beans, and so he flipped out, grabbed a spoon and shoved beans down my throat, which resulted in my vomiting it all out over the Turkey dinner, which resulted in me getting punched.
So I won't touch a bean ever obviously. Negative reinforcement all my life.
I read, as this video also informs us, when you cook a bean alot of toxicity comes out of it. Which makes me wonder why the yummy tomato was always thought as poisonous but deadly beans were always eaten.
Can never forget the Pythagorean admonition against eating beans. They were known to die in mass rather than trample on bean plants, and withstood torture to the death rather to divulge why they wouldn't eat beans of all things. Made the Tyrant of Syracuse morbidly amused at the defiance they showed to him over this of all things.
