They're eating pets in Springfield, I've seen it myself

Homer Simpson, who I thought was a stand up guy boiled up poor Santa's Litt Helper then stir fried him with a bit of soy sauce and sesame oil, it's was delicious, I would know. If I'm president, I swear to allow everyone to eat their neighbors pets, I highly recommend it.
