Eating Pie With Chopsticks

I'm watching a video of a japanese man with a stealth camper mini van making a octopus pie, and he whips chopsticks out to scarf it down, and I was like WTF are you gonna do with those?

Apparently to gotta hold the whole slice of pie in order to bite into it.
