TN insists on checking ID of 80+ year olds

My mom has a social group of people that are all 75 years to 90. They meet at restaurants and have dinner togethter. Some times they may have 30 or more people in the group. They went to Carrabbas one night and when they went to order drinks the waitress insisted on checking ID's. The entire group got up and left when management refused to waiver on it. They say the state requires ID checks on every one. (Didn't stupidcrats end ID for voting and driving and buying alcohol etc???)

They went to a different restaurant and have stayed there for a very long time. They dont check IDs of old people. They have commen sense to check IDs of those that could be 30 or younger. The old people groups make a LOT of money for the particular restaurant they go to.
I dont drink too terribly often and I dont get insulted if they ask for ID but if they think Im under 21 then they are mental.

@Moneyonmymind My mom and I went out to dinner one night and we walked out of Carrabbas when they asked for ID.

@Confined I blame the owners of those establishments

@Moneyonmymind They tell me the state is cracking down, and forceing it on them. They send in old and young people that work for the state to see if they are asking. So the restaurants are loosing money. Guess we all need to complain to Gov Lee
