My cat, Oscar, had a tapeworm when I first got him. He was flea bitten, and apparently the bite of a flea can carry the tapeworm larvae, also. We didn't know he was infected till I took him to the vet...the poor miserable guy...and he was diagnosed. My friend, Tom, noticed that little tiny wormlike white thinks were coming out of his posterior end, so that was our clue. They were able to give him a pill, and that was the..er....end of it. 🙄

@4meAndyou I had a cat that would keep getting them. She liked to hunt till my daughter sat her down and chewed her out for it. I did see her with a big will pregnant mouse in her mouth trotting down the sidewalk once after that. She saw me and sat it down like it was just something she found. They can get tapeworms from eating mice. I let her out because every morning there were hundreds of birds that would sing in the trees at a nearby courtyard and they would fly in huge circles. I found her one morning sitting and watching them.
