In UK, which potato do you use for which dish?

I just boil and I like the British red potatoes.
meggie · F
Maris piper for most potato dishes.

Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
Reds or whites usually.

Baby Pearl if i use them in a salad
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
New potatoes to boil, red potatoes to roast, fry, etc.
King Edwards for most things, but waxy potatoes to sauté
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
I'm sure the Brits just use potatoes they stole from Irish people - for old times sake.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@GeistInTheMachine No. Lol
