How many nuggets make a chicken?

Presuming about 15 grams per nugget, and that you use all the meat on the chicken (not just breast meat, which is how McD’s currently makes them), and an average chicken weight of about 3 1/2 pounds, with about 25% waste (non-meat, meaning bones, skin, etc.), then you can safely calculate that a whole chicken can yield about 80 nuggets.

This will vary based on the size of the chicken, and if your nuggets are larger or smaller than 15 grams apiece. And you can cut the number in half if you only use the breast meat, no meat from any other parts.
