I'm often surprised/shocked when people say they don't like drinking plain water because it's tasteless.

I don't drink plain water - straight from the tap - regularly but I've certainly no qualms about doing so.

@ArishMell What do you drink? burbon?? wine??? You can get those carbon water filters that hook up to the faucet. They get the chemicals and particles out of the water making it safe to drink. 🍪

@trackboy Mainly tea, often coffee, sometimes fruit juice. I don't drink anything alcoholic now very often at all and then it's usually ale. I like the odd glass of wine with a meal. or whisky but those are rare.

I don't need filter our tap-water. It is safe to drink as it is, and holds nothing that a filter can remove.

It has been treated properly to make it drinkable directly from the tap. The water in our area is "hard" (i.e. contains dissolved calcium carbonate from the Chalk hills that are most of its source aquifer) but does not contain solid particles. The only artificially-added chemical is a tiny trace of chlorine, <2ppm, as a precautionary disinfectant.
