For those of you who claim that a hot dog isn't a sandwich, I've got a few questions for you.

The main underlying question I have is, what part of the hot dog makes it not a sandwich?

Is it the bun? If I were to substitute the hot dog for a couple of slices of roast beef, a slice of cheddar, some mayo, and some mustard, would that suddenly make it a sandwich?

Is it the dog? If I were to take that hot dog, cut it in half, cook it on the stove, and put it between two pieces of bread, would it suddenly become a sandwich?

Exactly what would have to be modified, in your minds, for a hot dog to be considered a sandwich?

Because nobody calls it a sandwich outside of technical arguments like this.

What matters is how language works
@CountScrofula Well, you're just no fun. 😆
