Do you consider oatmeal to be cereal?

I think oatmeal is oatmeal and cereal is cereal. And a burger isn’t a sandwich.

Hot cereal is any porridge made with a grain. Oatmeal is specifically made from oats. Other forms of hot cereal are (for example) Cream of Wheat (wheat), polenta (corn), grits (corn), and others.

ask yourself this....does one buy oatmeal in any section other than the cereal section at the grocery store? 🤔...i think burgers are lumped into the same section as sandwiches in a restaurant's menu

@beermeplease burgers have their own section on menus.

Oatmeal isn’t always in the cereal section. It may be in the same aisle, but it’s not WITH the cereal. That’s like saying Ketchup and Mayo are the same because they’re in the same aisle or toilet paper and paper towels.
