My mom was an amazing cook. And it definitely showed 🤣

My father was a trained Chef and cooked for the queen on a couple of her visits to Oz at functions.. And never cooked at home....😷

Absolutely, they both were. My mother was a profound one, and in the Autumn of the year on our farm, spent hours and days on end, canning all sorts of pickle recipes.
My dad, learned from his father-in-law [my grandfather] the art of baking bread. My grandfatherj's father was a baker and he grew up in the trade, working in his father bakery throughout his life....and he taught my father how to bake bread.

I was a very grateful beneficiary of it all...

Both my parents are good cooks, but i know im a better cook overall

My mom was good at doctoring boxed, frozen etc. things.

I think my stepmother can cook, but they’re so busy that she relies heavily on meats that can be popped into the oven and premade frozen side dishes that can be popped into the microwave.

I can cook, but I have a house of picky eaters. Let’s suck the joy out of it for me 🤷🏻‍♀️😆, so I have some easy dinners on rotation. They’re either made from scratch or I use shortcuts like jarred tomato sauce that you add a bunch of veggies/meats to.

Both are great cooks. My mom always cooks, but my dad can cook pretty well too.
My Dad was not. He didn't grill either. The only thing he made was some concoction passed off as chicken soup. It was pretty much a greasy mess, and one time I got sick after eating it and couldn't touch it again.

My Mother was average. Usually meat and potatoes kind of fare. Not much for experimentation, and seasoning was basically salt and pepper. But hey, there was always food an the table.

My Mum is an excellent cook and Dads a dab hand with a BBQ🙂

Yes they were, but dad was definitely better.

My Dad could probably cook scrambled eggs, but my Mom was a pretty good cook. My favorites: her pork chops in gravy and hot Apple Brown Betty with vanilla ice cream on top.

My mother was a very good cook - an even better baker. My father lived on boil-in-the-bag and microwave meals after she died.

No. I did not have a homecooked meal until I was in college. I inherited their lack of cooking skills.

Mi madre no cocina bien, así que soy yo la que tuvo que aprender a cocinar.
Morvoren · F
Yes both of them. Dad taught me how to cook a roast. Mum taught me how to bake.

they were...mom was good on technique and dad was good on being creative

My mother was the cook in the household. Definitely not my father as he was working for the mines and worked long hours.
My Dad was a serious home gourmet that started teaching me on my fifth birthday in 1975, with pancakes, he could cook, roast and bake, anything, just like his own Dad. My mother on the other hand would have made Julia Child curse like a Sailor.
