@Sleepysheep basically the only things that aren't allowed are certain animals and animal fats.. other than that everything is good (that doesn't have disallowed contents in it)
So like cows and sheep and goats and certain animals are allowed but not the blood or fat and they have to be killed humanely
Stuff like vultures and rabbits and pigs and catfish and other things aren't allowed.. or any bi products of them like gelatin is usually made out of pigs hoofs and marshmallows are usually made out of gelatin so they aren't kosher .. just an example.. so anyway..
The orthodox have extra rules that they follow like not meat or dairy together.. they even have separate sides to their kitchens and serving ware for the meat/dairy thing.. i don't follow all their extra regulations just the basic rules as written in the bible which anyone can read..
