I called my girlfriend at work today and said "I forgot my sandwich", which I had--I had simply neglected to bring it with me to work. Though I had wrapped it in foil, she threw it away! I had planned on eating it when I got home!

Why?

My girlfriend is a terrible germophobe. She thinks that food spoils instantaneously if it's left out. She thinks I'll get food poisoning. Though I didn't yell or anything, it was hard to hide my disdain for such OCD craziness. And to me, that's what it is.

Am I the a-hole? Opinions might vary, but I'm curious.

I don't like any of the options listed ..

I don't think you are an a hole for being miffed

and I really don't like saying people need treatment ... Seems harsh

@BobbyMoeven it's harsh, but it's true. OCD unfortunately is a pain in the arse, I've had it full blown since I was 14. If it's moderate to severe, therapy is definitely needed.

Yah ... I get that ..

But I am not about to sit here and turn myself into some quazi closet quack professional based on tidbits of shared information ..

It would be completely wrong and harsh for me to make such a statement is what I am saying .
