@ChipmunkErnie I know an American who, years ago, spent several years in China with a friend, teaching English.
When they flew back home, they landed in San Francisco. The went straight to Chinatown, to see how the food would taste compared to what they had been eating in China.
They said the food in San Francisco was actually better. And the reason is that restaurants in the US use higher quality ingredients than what the typical Chinese family is able to obtain.
