How good a whiskey is Johnny Walker Blue?

Johnny Walker Blue is supposed to be the pinnacle whiskey of the J.W label.Ive read that about 15-20 years ago,it was considered to be the best of all whiskeys in general,but its reputation has been somewhat diminished by time and the advent of other brands.How good of a product is it really?

I can't say really, it's expensive though. The best whiskey i've ever tasted was Maker's Mark, a delicious drink, however these days i just want a cheap brand that gets the job done quick, like Royal Reserve.
